Officers with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department say they initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 22 and Milltown Road in Southeast after observing a driver commit a series of violations on Sunday, Sept. 15 around 3:30 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Isau Reynaldo Martinez Coronado, 27, of Norwalk, was determined to be intoxicated, officers say.
Martinez Coronado was arrested and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility, where officers say he initially gave two false names.
Once Martinez Coronado was correctly identified, it was revealed via fingerprinting that he had been convicted of DWI in the Village of Mount Kisco Justice Court in April of 2015, according to the Putnam Sheriff.
Martinez Coronado was also found to have an active warrant out of NYSP Brewster for an additional DWI charge, officers say.
Martinez Coronado faces the following charges:
- Aggravated driving while intoxicated (Operating a motor vehicle while having a BAC of .18 or more), a Felony
- Driving while intoxicated (Operating a motor vehicle while having a BAC of .08 or more), a Felony
- Driving while intoxicated, a Misdemeanor
- Criminal impersonation, a Misdemeanor

Martinez Coronado was released after posting bail and is scheduled to appear in court.
